Artistic idea born
form desire

to reinterpret the original baroque garden as a dreamlike space. The original garden does not exist any more, its memory revives in uprightness that from courtyard get taller to roofs to create a "garden of light" suspended in air."

The request

The relashionship with Richi Ferrero has been started many years ago. The request of specific solutions able to create the perfect effect the artist wanted to realize, was the starting point of the project.

The solution

"The Number 6" is the artistic name of Palazzo Valperga Galliani, a historical building located in Turin city center. The refurbishment of the entire building, involved Ilti Luce for the supply of standard products for the indoor and outdoor architectural project, but the most important support focused on Richi Ferrero's project. Walking through the entry corridor, the visitor’s attention is caught by the view of the vertical garden. Resined opal stones, lighted by RGB LED Strips located on the bases, create an elegant floor design. Baloconies and vases are lighted by small linear systems and flexible brackets with a low power LED at the end. A luminous tree is suspended in the air in the center of the garden, creating a strange surreal effect. The other garden, to the back of the building, is the baroque garden. Luminous writing "come se a Torino ci fosse il mare” (as if Turin had a sea) explains the artwork: coloured glass resin fishes with lighting by an RGB LED installed into the body of the work.
